Dog Cloning

Dog Cloning. Would you clone your dog? I’m still having a problem with men playing God, but cloning is here and the big question is will people clone their dogs.
Here is a video of 7 pups that were cloned for drug sniffing dogs in Korea.
I also came across a story about a Miami couple that 5 years ago took blood from their dog and had it frozen so that when cloning was legal they would clone their dog. Their dog died of cancer in 2008 and paid 155,000 to have their yellow lab cloned. The first dog to be cloned in the United States.
Me personally i’m not sure what to think of cloning. It would be nice to think you get to keep your favorite dog but would it really be the same. I feel rather than sending all that money to clone your dog . You would be better to go back to the breeder you purchased your dog from and see if you can get a pup from the same lines. Most breeders will carry the same lines throughout their breeding program. Good breeders usually carry generations of the same lines to carry on championship lines and lines that are healthy and have good genetics.
I can’t see how they would even be close to the same dog. I have kept sisters or brother and sister for my breeding program and they had similarity’s but they were different in lots of ways and they have the same DNA.
