the Dog House

Well, this is going to be our first post for the Dog House. The material you’ll find on this blog will detail different things to do with dog health, dog training, dogs in the news, and whatever else we can think of.

First of all, I should let you know who we are I suppose. My name is Josh Emsley, and Heather Emsley is my wife. We’ll both be contributing to this blog. We own and breed English Bulldogs and Miniature Dachshunds. We also run a website that gives you updates on the status of our litters, pictures of our dogs, and free information about the care and health of your dog. You can find this website at www.bullandhund.com if you didn’t already know that.

We’ve pretty much decided to try and keep things to as much useful information as possible and leave out all the pointless, “Yesssterday, I changed to softer toilet paper and boy did it feel good!” kind of crap. There’s a lot of things you learn over the years as a dog breeder and we feel it’s time to give back to the community in any way we can.

I’ve got one doozy of a post coming up about a video clip I was exposed to last night. It literally made me feel sick for hours after seeing this thing. I’ve got to sort out in my head what needs to, and can be done about this first. Look for it in the next little while, I promise you’ve never seen anything like it if you don’t know what I’m talking about already. It is to do with dogs and cruelty to small animals. I’ve seen some terrible things in my time, but this one sits right up there in the top 10.

Anyways, this is pretty much the end of this stream of conscious post. I’ve got to go let the dogs in. Thanks for reading, and hope to see you come back.
